1. ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇÏ½ÃµÇ º¸¶ó ³»°¡ ¸ê¸Á½ÃÅ°´Â ÀÚÀÇ ½É·ÉÀ» ºÎÃß°Ü ¹Ùº§·ÐÀ» Ä¡°í
¶Ç ³ª¸¦ ´ëÀûÇÏ´Â ÀÚ Áß¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ Ä¡µÇ
This is what the LORD says : "See, I will stir up the spirit of a destroyer against Babylon
and the people of Leb Kamai.
2. ³»°¡ Ÿ±¹ÀÎÀ» ¹Ùº§·Ð¿¡ º¸³»¾î Å°ÁúÇÏ¿© ±×ÀÇ ¶¥À» ºñ°Ô Çϸ®´Ï Àç³ÀÇ ³¯¿¡ ±×¸¦ ¿¡¿ö½Î°í Ä¡¸®·Î´Ù
I will send foreigners to Babylon to winnow her and to devastate her land;
they will oppose her on every side in the day of her disaster.
3. È°À» ´ç±â´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ÇâÇÏ¸ç °©¿ÊÀ» ÀÔ°í ÀϾ ÀÚ¸¦ ÇâÇÏ¿© ½î´Â ÀÚ´Â ±×ÀÇ È°À» ´ç±æ °ÍÀ̶ó
±×ÀÇ ÀåÁ¤µéÀ» ºÒ½ÖÈ÷ ¿©±âÁö ¸»¸ç ±×ÀÇ ±º´ë¸¦ Àü¸ê½ÃÄѶó
Let not the archer string his bow, nor let him put on his armor. Do not spare her young men;
completely destroy her army.
4. ¹«¸®°¡ °¥´ë¾Æ »ç¶÷ÀÇ ¶¥¿¡¼ Á×ÀÓÀ» ´çÇÏ¿© ¾þµå·¯Áú °ÍÀÌ¿ä °üÅë»óÀ» ´çÇÑ ÀÚ°¡ °Å¸®¿¡ ÀÖÀ¸¸®¶ó
They will fall down slain in Babylon, fatally wounded in her streets.
5. À̽º¶ó¿¤°ú À¯´Ù°¡ À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÇ °Å·èÇϽŠÀ̸¦ °Å¿ªÇϹǷΠÁË°ú°¡ ¶¥¿¡ °¡µæÇϳª
±×ÀÇ Çϳª´Ô ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿Í¿¡°Ô ¹ö¸² ¹ÞÀº Ȧ¾Æºñ´Â ¾Æ´Ï´Ï¶ó
For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken by their God, the LORD Almighty,
though their land is full of guilt before the Holy One of Israel.

ÀÌ´Â ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ º¸º¹ÀÇ ¶§´Ï ±×¿¡°Ô º¸º¹ÇϽø®¶ó
¡°Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the
LORD'S vengeance; he will pay her what she deserves.
7. ¹Ùº§·ÐÀº ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¼Õ¿¡ ÀâÇô ÀÖ¾î ¿Â ¼¼°è°¡ ÃëÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ´Â ±ÝÀÜÀÌ¶ó ¹µ ¹ÎÁ·ÀÌ ±× Æ÷µµÁÖ¸¦
¸¶½ÉÀ¸·Î ¹ÌÃƵµ´Ù
Babylon was a gold cup in the LORD'S hand; she made the whole earth drunk.
The nations drank her wine; therefore they have now gone mad.
8. ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÌ °©Àڱ⠳ѾîÁ® ÆĸêµÇ´Ï ÀÌ·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï¾Æ ¿ï¶ó ±× »óó¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© À¯ÇâÀ» ±¸Ç϶ó Ȥ ³ªÀ¸¸®·Î´Ù
Babylon will suddenly fall and be broken. Wail over her! Get balm for her pain; perhaps
she can be healed.

¡°We would have healed Babylon, but she cannot be healed; let us leave her and each go to
his own land, for her judgment reaches to the skies, it rises as high as the clouds.'

¡°Sharpen the arrows, take up the shields! The LORD has stirred up the kings of the Medes, because
his purpose is to destroy Babylon. The LORD will take vengeance, vengeance for his temple.

Lift up a banner against the walls of Babylon! Reinforce the guard, station the watchmen, prepare an
ambush! The LORD will carry out his purpose, his decree against the people of Babylon.

You who live by many waters and are rich in treasures, your end has come, the time for you
to be cut off.

The LORD Almighty has sworn by himself : I will surely fill you with men, as with
a swarm of locusts, and they will shout in triumph over you.

¡°He made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the
heavens by his understanding.

When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth.
He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

"Every man is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols.
His images are a fraud; they have no breath in them.

They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish.

He who is the Portion of jacob is not like these, for he is the Maker of all things,
including the tribe of his inheritance--the LORD Almighty is his name.

¡°You are my war club, my weapon for battle--with you I shatter nations, with you
I destroy kingdoms,

with you I shatter horse and rider, with you I shatter chariot and driver,

with you I shatter shepherd and flock, with you I shatter farmer and oxen, with you
I shatter governors and officials.

¡°Before your eyes I will repay Babylon and all who live in Babylonia for all the wrong
they have done in Zion" declares the LORD.

¡°I am against you, O destroying mountain, you who destroy the whole earth," declares the LORD.
"I will stretch out my hand against you, roll you off the cliffs, and make
you a burned--out mountain.

Ȳ¹«Áö°¡ µÉ °ÍÀÌ´Ï¶ó ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸À̴϶ó
No rock will be taken from you for a cornerstone, nor any stone for a foundation,
for you will be desolate forever," declares the LORD.

¡°Lift up a banner in the land! Blow the trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations for battle
against her; summon against her these kingdom : Ararat, Minni and Ashkenaz.
Appoint a commander against her; send up horses like a swarm of locusts.

Prepare the nations for battle against her--the kings of the Medes, their governors
and all their officials, and all the countries they rule.

The land trembles and writhes, for the LORD'S purposes against Babylon stand--to lay
waste the land of Babylon so that no one will live there.
30. ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÇ ¿ë»ç´Â ½Î¿òÀ» ±×Ä¡°í ±×µéÀÇ ¿ä»õ¿¡ ¸Ó¹«¸£³ª ±â·ÂÀÌ ¼èÇÏ¿© ¿©ÀÎ °°ÀÌ µÇ¸ç
±×µéÀÇ °Åó´Â ºÒŸ°í ±× ¹®ºøÀåÀº ºÎ·¯Á³À¸¸ç
Babylon's warriors have stopped fighting; they remain in their strongholds.Their strength is
exhausted; they have become like women. Her dwellings are set on fire;
the bars of her gates are broken.

One courier follows another and messenger follows messenger to announce to the king
of Babylon that his entire city is captured,
32. ¸ðµç ³ª·ç´Â »©¾Ñ°åÀ¸¸ç °¥´ë¹çÀÌ ºÒÅÀÀ¸¸ç ±º»çµéÀÌ °Ì¿¡ Áú·È´õÀÌ´Ù Çϸ®¶ó
the river crossings seized, the marshes set on fire, and the soldiers terrified."

This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says : "The Daughter of Babylon is like
a threshing floor at the time it is trampled; the time to harvest her will soon come."

¡°Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured us, he has thrown us into confusion, he has
made us an empty jar. Like a serpent he has swallowed us and filled his stomach with
our delicacies, and then has spewed us out.
35. ³»°¡ ¹ÞÀº ÆøÇà°ú ³» À°Ã¼¿¡ ´ëÇÑ Çд밡 ¹Ùº§·Ð¿¡ µ¹¾Æ°¡±â¸¦ ¿øÇÑ´Ù°í ½Ã¿Â ÁÖ¹ÎÀÌ ¸»ÇÒ °ÍÀÌ¿ä

May the violence done to our flesh be upon Babylon," say the inhabitants of Zion. "May our blood
be on those who live in Babylonia," says Jerusalem.

Therefore, this is what the LORD says : "See, I will defend your cause and avenge you;
I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.
37. ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÌ µ¹¹«´õ±â°¡ µÇ¾î¼ ½Â³ÉÀÌÀÇ °Åó¿Í Çø¿ÀÀÇ ´ë»ó°ú ź½Ä °Å¸®°¡ µÇ°í ÁÖ¹ÎÀÌ ¾øÀ¸¸®¶ó
Babylon will be a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals, an object of horror and scorn,
a place where no one lives.

Her people all roar like young lions, they growl like lion cubs.
39. ¿Á¤ÀÌ ÀϾ ¶§¿¡ ³»°¡ ¿¬È¸¸¦ º£Ç®°í ±×µéÀÌ ÃëÇÏ¿© ±â»µÇÏ´Ù°¡ ¿µ¿øÈ÷ Àáµé¾î ±úÁö ¸øÇÏ°Ô

But while they are aroused, I will set out a feast for them and make them drunk, so that they
shout with laughter--then sleep forever and not awake," declares the LORD.

¡°I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams and goats.

¡°How Sheshach will be captured, the boast of the whole earth seized! What a horror
Babylon will be among the nations!

The sea will rise over Babylon; its roaring waves will cover her.

Her towns will be desolate, a dry and desert land, a land where no one lives,
through which no man travels.

¸ô·Á°¡Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°Ú°í ¹Ùº§·Ð ¼ºº®Àº ¹«³ÊÁ³µµ´Ù
I will punish Bel in Babylon and make him spew out what he has swallowed. The nations
will no longer stream to him. And the wall of Babylon will fall.
45. ³ªÀÇ ¹é¼º¾Æ ³ÊÈñ´Â ±× Áß¿¡¼ ³ª¿Í °¢±â ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ Áø³ë¸¦ ÇÇÇ϶ó
¡°Come out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the LORD.
46. ³ÊÈñ ¸¶À½À» ³ª¾àÇÏ°Ô ¸»¸ç ÀÌ ¶¥¿¡¼ µé¸®´Â ¼Ò¹®À¸·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï¾Æ µÎ·Á¿öÇÏÁö ¸»¶ó ¼Ò¹®Àº ÀÌ ÇØ¿¡µµ
ÀÖ°Ú°í Àú ÇØ¿¡µµ ÀÖÀ¸¸®¶ó ±× ¶¥¿¡´Â °Æ÷ÇÔÀÌ ÀÖ¾î ´Ù½º¸®´Â ÀÚ°¡ ´Ù½º¸®´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ¼·Î Ä¡¸®¶ó
Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land; one rumor comes this year,
another the next, rumors of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.
47. ±×·¯¹Ç·Î º¸¶ó ³¯ÀÌ À̸£¸®´Ï ³»°¡ ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÇ ¿ì»óµéÀ» ¹úÇÒ °ÍÀ̶ó ±× ¿Â ¶¥ÀÌ Ä¡¿åÀ» ´çÇÏ°Ú°í
±× Á×ÀÓ ´çÇÒ ÀÚ°¡ ¸ðµÎ ±× °¡¿îµ¥¿¡ ¾þµå·¯Áú °ÍÀ̸ç
for the time will surely come when I will punish the idols of Babylon; her whole land will be
disgraced and her slain will all lie fallen within her.
48. Çϴðú ¶¥°ú ±× ¾È¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ¸ðµç °ÍÀÌ ¹Ùº§·ÐÀ¸·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï¾Æ ±â»µ ³ë·¡Çϸ®´Ï ÀÌ´Â Æĸê½ÃÅ°´Â ÀÚ°¡
ºÏÂÊ¿¡¼ ±×¿¡°Ô ¿ÈÀÌ¶ó ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸À̴϶ó
Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon, for out of the
north destroyers will attack her," declares the LORD.
49. ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÌ À̽º¶ó¿¤À» Á׿© ¾þµå·¯¶ß¸² °°ÀÌ ¿Â ¼¼»óÀÌ ¹Ùº§·Ð¿¡¼ Á×ÀÓÀ» ´çÇÏ¿© ¾þµå·¯Áö¸®¶ó
¡°Babylon must fall because of Israel's slain, just as the slain in all the earth have fallen
because of Babylon.
50. Ä®À» ÇÇÇÑ ÀÚµéÀÌ¿© ¸ØÃßÁö ¸»°í °É¾î°¡¶ó ¸Õ °÷¿¡¼ ¿©È£¿Í¸¦ »ý°¢ÇÏ¸ç ¿¹·ç»ì·½À» ³ÊÈñ ¸¶À½¿¡ µÎ¶ó
You who have escaped the sword, leave and do not linger! Remember the LORD in a distant land,
and think on Jerusalem."
51. ¿Ü±¹ÀÎÀÌ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ °Å·èÇÑ ¼ºÀü¿¡ µé¾î°¡¹Ç·Î ¿ì¸®°¡ Ã¥¸ÁÀ» µéÀ¸¸ç ¼öÄ¡¸¦ ´çÇÏ¿© ¸ð¿åÀÌ ¿ì¸®
¾ó±¼À» µ¤¾ú´À´Ï¶ó
"We are disgraced, for we have been insulted and shame covers our faces, because
foreigners have entered the holy places of the LORD'S house."
52. º¸¶ó ³¯ÀÌ À̸£¸®´Ï ³»°¡ ±× ¿ì»óµéÀ» ¹úÇÒ °ÍÀ̶ó ºÎ»óÀÚµéÀÌ ±× ¶¥¿¡¼ ÇѼûÀ» ÁöÀ¸¸®¶ó
¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸À̴϶ó
¡°But days are coming," declares the LORD," when I will punish her idols, and throughout her
land the wounded will groan.
53. °¡·É ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÌ ÇϴñîÁö ¼Ú¾Æ¿À¸¥´Ù ÇÏÀÚ ³ôÀº °÷¿¡ ÀÖ´Â Çdzó¸¦ ¿ä»õ·Î »ï´õ¶óµµ ¸ê¸Á½Ãų
ÀÚ°¡ ³»°Ô·ÎºÎÅÍ ±×µé¿¡°Ô ÀÓÇϸ®¶ó ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸À̴϶ó
Even if Babylon reaches the sky and fortifies her lofty stronghold, I will send destroyers
against her," declares the LORD.
54. ¹Ùº§·ÐÀ¸·ÎºÎÅÍ ºÎ¸£Â¢´Â ¼Ò¸®°¡ µé¸®µµ´Ù °¥´ë¾Æ »ç¶÷ÀÇ ¶¥¿¡ Å« ÆĸêÀÇ ¼Ò¸®°¡ µé¸®µµ´Ù
¡°The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the
Babylonians.
55. ÀÌ´Â ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ ¹Ùº§·ÐÀ» ȲÆóÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ»ç ±× Å« ¼Ò¸®¸¦ ²÷À¸½ÉÀ̷δ٠¿ø¼ö´Â ¸¹Àº ¹° °°ÀÌ
±× Æĵµ°¡ »ç³ª¿ì¸ç ±× ¹°°áÀº ¿ä¶õÇÑ ¼Ò¸®¸¦ ³»´Âµµ´Ù
The LORD will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like
great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.
56. °ð ¸ê¸Á½ÃÅ°´Â ÀÚ°¡ ¹Ùº§·Ð¿¡ À̸£·¶À½À̶ó ±× ¿ë»çµéÀÌ »ç·ÎÀâÈ÷°í ±×µéÀÇ È°ÀÌ ²ªÀ̵µ´Ù
¿©È£¿Í´Â º¸º¹ÀÇ Çϳª´ÔÀÌ½Ã´Ï ¹Ýµå½Ã º¸ÀÀÇϽø®·Î´Ù
A destroyer will come against Babylon; her warriors will be captured, and their bows
will be broken. For the LORD is a God of retribution; he will repay in full.
57. ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿Í¶ó ÀÏÄ´ ¿ÕÀÌ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇÏ½ÃµÇ ³»°¡ ±× °í°üµé°ú ÁöÇý ÀÖ´Â ÀÚµé°ú µµ¹éµé°ú
żöµé°ú ¿ë»çµéÀ» ÃëÇÏ°Ô Çϸ®´Ï ±×µéÀÌ ¿µ¿øÈ÷ Àáµé¾î ±ú¾î³ªÁö ¸øÇϸ®¶ó
I will make her officials and wise men drunk, her governors, officers and warriors as well; they will
sleep forever and not awake," declares the King, whose name is the LORD Almighty.
58. ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇϽô϶ó ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÇ ¼ºº®Àº ÈÑÆÄµÇ°Ú°í ±× ³ôÀº ¹®µéÀº ºÒ¿¡ Å» °ÍÀ̸ç
¹é¼ºµéÀÇ ¼ö°í´Â ÇêµÉ °ÍÀÌ¿ä ¹ÎÁ·µéÀÇ ¼ö°í´Â ºÒÅ» °ÍÀÎÁï ±×µéÀÌ ¼èÀÜÇϸ®¶ó
This is what the LORD Almighty says : "Babylon's thick wall will be leveled and her high gates set
on fire; the peoples exhaust themselves for nothing, the nations' labor is fuel for the flames."
59. À¯´ÙÀÇ ½Ãµå±â¾ß ¿Õ Á¦»ç³â¿¡ ¸¶¼¼¾ßÀÇ ¼ÕÀÚ ³×¸®¾ßÀÇ ¾Æµé ½º¶ó¾ß°¡ ±× ¿Õ°ú ÇÔ²² ¹Ùº§·ÐÀ¸·Î °¥ ¶§¿¡
¼±ÁöÀÚ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ ±×¿¡°Ô ¸»¾¸À» ¸í·ÉÇÏ´Ï ½º¶ó¾ß´Â º´Âü°¨ÀÌ´õ¶ó
This is the message Jeremiah gave to the staff officer Seraiah son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah,
when he went to Babylon with Zedekiah king of Judah in the fourth year of his reign.
60. ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ ¹Ùº§·Ð¿¡ ´ÚÄ¥ ¸ðµç Àç³ °ð ¹Ùº§·Ð¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿© ±â·ÏÇÑ ÀÌ ¸ðµç ¸»¾¸À» ÇÑ Ã¥¿¡ ±â·ÏÇÏ°í
Jeremiah had written on a scroll about all the disasters that would come upon Babylon--all that
had been recorded concerning Babylon.
61. ½º¶ó¾ß¿¡°Ô ¸»Çϱ⸦ ³Ê´Â ¹Ùº§·Ð¿¡ À̸£°Åµç »ï°¡ ÀÌ ¸ðµç ¸»¾¸À» Àаí
He said to Seraiah, "When you get to Babylon, see that you read all these words aloud.
62. ¸»Çϱ⸦ ¿©È£¿Í¿© ÁÖ²²¼ ÀÌ °÷¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿© ¸»¾¸ÇϽñ⸦ ÀÌ ¶¥À» ¸êÇÏ¿© »ç¶÷À̳ª Áü½ÂÀÌ
°Å±â¿¡ »ìÁö ¸øÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ°í ¿µ¿øÇÑ ÆóÇã°¡ µÇ¸®¶ó Çϼ̳ªÀÌ´Ù Ç϶ó Çϴ϶ó
Then say, 'O LORD, you have said you will destroy this place, so that neither man nor
animal will live in it; it will be desolate forever.'
63. ³Ê´Â ÀÌ Ã¥ Àб⸦ ´ÙÇÑ ÈÄ¿¡ Ã¥¿¡ µ¹À» ¸Å¾î À¯ºê¶óµ¥ ° ¼Ó¿¡ ´øÁö¸ç
When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates.
64. ¸»Çϱ⸦ ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÌ ³ªÀÇ Àç³ ¶§¹®¿¡ ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ¸ô¶ôÇÏ¿© ´Ù½Ã ÀϾî¼Áö ¸øÇϸ®´Ï ±×µéÀÌ ÇÇÆóÇϸ®¶ó
Ç϶ó ÇÏ´Ï¶ó ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ßÀÇ ¸»ÀÌ ÀÌ¿¡ ³¡³ª´Ï¶ó
Then say, 'So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring upon her.
And her people will fall.'" The words of Jeremiah end here.
